Volunteers

Detroit Fanfare is seeking volunteers to help staff this year’s expanded event! Perks of volunteering include free admission to the convention, a free variant comic, and a prize pack. Volunteers are needed throughout Saturday and Sunday, but also for Set-up on Friday. If you’re interested in volunteering please download the form below and follow the instructions within.

Everyday Heroes

All Active Duty Military, Police, Firefighters and Border Patrol Officers will receive FREE admission for them and one guest to Detroit Fanfare by wearing their uniforms and showing a current ID. Help Detroit Fanfare salute the heroes who serve and protect us by supporting the heroes with the coolest costume of all, their everyday uniform.

Shel Dorf Awards

Fans and pros alike are invited to attend the Second Annual Shel Dorf Awards cocktail reception and dinner. Tickets include: Open bar Cocktail reception at Andiamo’s in the Renaissance Center starting at 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM, Buffet style dinner by Andiamo’s starts at 8:00 PM and Awards presentation from 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM.  Presenters will include many comic creators.  In addition to the voted on categories, awards will be given out for the Jerry Bails Fandom Award and Shel Dorf Legacy Awards.  Gift bags will also be handed out to all attendees.

 

Comic Creators

Detroit Fanfare is committed to putting comics first and welcomes comic creators to our show. We’re offering tables at a discounted rate for those that register before August 1st. If you’d like to attend please download and return our Comic Creator Application for. Also note that comic creators must download and return the forms in the Exhibitor Manual below.

Exhibitor Application

For the 2011 show we’ve expanded into Detroit’s Cobo Conference and Exhibit Center, which means we have generous space allocated for exhibitors! Note that exhibitor space is available at a discounted rate for those who register before August 1st. Also note that Exhibitors must download and return the forms in the Exhibitor Manual below.
